Epstein Files Transparency Act

Key Provisions

• Requires the Attorney General to release all unclassified records about Jeffrey Epstein and his associates within 30 days of the bill becoming law.
• Blocks the government from hiding records because they might embarrass officials, public figures, or foreign leaders.
• Lets the Attorney General keep private details about victims, child sexual abuse materials, images of death or injury, or information that would harm ongoing federal investigations.
• Requires all blacked-out parts of records to have a written reason, published publicly in the Federal Register and sent to Congress.
• Requires the Attorney General to declassify secret information about the case as much as possible, or release an unclassified summary.
