This bill, called the "Securing Facilities for Mental Health Services Act," would make it easier for licensed hospitals to get federal mortgage insurance for their facilities. It would remove a current rule that limits who can access this program. This change aims to help hospitals secure funding for their buildings, potentially including those offering mental health services.

This bill would make sure families of veterans who die of natural causes get death certificates more quickly. It would require Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) doctors or nurses to certify these deaths within 48 hours, helping families arrange burials and access benefits sooner.
