This bill would make the US Secretary of State the main leader for efforts to promote internet freedom in Iran. It would require federal agencies to update their plans to help Iranians get around internet shutdowns. It would also stop US-licensed satellite companies from intentionally blocking internet service over Iran.

Public service workers with new federal student loans would get parts of their debt forgiven much sooner. Instead of waiting 10 years for full forgiveness, they would get 15% of their loan canceled after 2, 4, 6, and 8 years of payments. This bill would also make it simpler to prove their public service employment.
