This bill would set new federal rules to help prevent everyday electricity customers from paying higher power bills. These bills are often caused by large businesses, like data centers, needing big power grid upgrades. It would require these large businesses to cover their own upgrade costs. It would also offer new tax credits for companies that build extra power sources or invest in water recycling projects.
