Father Stan died in Indian custody on July 5, 2021, and his death has not been independently investigated by India. If passed, the U.S. House would formally honor Father Stan. It would also encourage India to investigate his death. The House would also make it clear to governments worldwide that mistreating human rights advocates is unacceptable.

This bill would make it easier for DACA recipients to get federal housing help. It would ensure they can apply for FHA mortgage insurance, Rural Housing Service mortgages, and certain housing assistance programs. Veterans who are DACA recipients would also be clearly eligible for VA home loan benefits.
