What Would Change

Today, the House considers Senate changes to budget plans under regular rules, allowing for more debate and procedural challenges. Also, calendar days for ending national emergencies are usually counted continuously. If this bill passes, the House would vote on the Senate's budget changes with limited debate and no procedural challenges. Also, days from April 9, 2025, to September 30, 2025, would not count towards the deadline for Congress to end a national emergency declared on April 2, 2025. This would extend its potential duration.
