This bill would let more types of carbon capture facilities get a tax credit. Currently, tax credits are mainly for facilities that capture carbon as a gas. If passed, facilities that capture carbon in solid or liquid forms would also be able to receive these credits.

This bill would make it simpler for long-distance passenger train routes to get federal support. It removes a rule. This rule currently requires the Secretary of Transportation to consider local or private funding when choosing routes for a key development program.
