Key Provisions

• Lets U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) share information about suspected fake goods with a lower level of proof, moving from "suspects" to "has a reasonable suspicion."
• Expands the types of physical evidence CBP can share to include images and descriptions of packing materials and containers.
• Allows CBP to share private information about goods from online marketplaces, shipping companies, or other businesses involved in importing products into the U.S.
• Requires CBP to tell intellectual property owners when they share this private information, following rules set by the Secretary.
• Lets CBP share information with other parties interested in the goods, as decided by the CBP Commissioner.
